 "After his private journal is stolen, video editor  Benjamin is deep within his thoughts and working space, till he reluctantly substitutes for a sick actor, only to find his stolen secrets turned into a script. He has to play himself as he is confronted by his brother after discovering he cheated.  As he realizes the script is based on his journal, the pressure becomes too much for the editor. Benjamin has the power to course correct by doing what he does best: Edit.  As he tempers with the reality of the scene, the consequences become twisted…”

In this artistic research project, we (Stijn Bolhuis and Alexander) explore the dynamic convergence of theater and virtual reality (VR). Through a series of insightful interviews conducted in VRChat, we investigate how theater elements are translated and reimagined in virtual environments. Uncover the fascinating ways in which VR platforms like VRChat facilitate the breaking of conventions, the emergence of new norms, and the unique interactions within this immersive space.

During Gogbot 2024, Video-work Dust to each-other was presented in the art collective Black Brick Underground. 

Personal Spaces 



During the pandemic, we got an assignment to create a video encapsulating the theme of personal spaces. While we all were locked into our ‘personal spaces’, we experienced an universal emprisoment between our four walls.  How could I signify the idea of personal spaces as a universal experience?
